I am going to do the 2 system design round for systems and infrastructure org at LinkedIn. I have heard that their system design rounds are very hard. Can someone tell me what kind of questions they ask? Do they ask similar design questions like Facebook and google. Do they ask multi threading questions too?

Well the question was meant to help get a sense of how to prepare guys. I understand humor, but do add it with some helpful content as well ๐
Design a helpful content
Lol .. good one.. so I guess you might want to know the scale of the content ingestion. Type of content and how to index them. And of course how to rank based on โhelpful-nessโ
Is it first onsite or second? You mentioned 2 system design round.. how many years of experience do you have?
Second on-site .. first was for tools org and then I requested for systems and infra. They are asking for 2 more design rounds. I have around 5 years of experience in total. 3 out of those 5 have been around distributed systems. The earlier 2 around low level systems stuff.
Expect deep dive into a system design problem and another one related to multi threading.
So Systems design like ones asked in fb google โ scaling type of question? Also when it comes to multi threading, do they ask standard classical questions about threads, or do they ask for something more?
I had 3 design rounds - without going into much detail I can tell you that atleast 1 of the design rounds is similar to G/Fb. The other two are more into coding.
Focus on scalability and concurrency aspect regardless of the what questions being asked. Understand these two concepts solid.
