Will they handle all strains of corona ? Or popular ones or just one strain ?
Vaccine will avoid any serious complications if you get covid
We don't know for certain. The most recent trials were with ~40k people (for one of the companies). We need a larger sample size and more time to know if any stains are resistant to the vaccine
Doesn’t matter as long as it gets the media stfu about it and move onto the next thing
If people still get covid then it will definitely still be a problem. These deaths don't disappear if you shove your head in the sand
Yeah they do. Half a million people a year die from heart disease, a quarter million from cancer, etc. They’re just accepted as part of life. We never locked down McDonald’s because of it or have a cancer case counter in the lower right of CNN
It targets the protein that is used to enter cells to replicate, so presumably variants that are not targetted by the vaccine would be less virulent. That said, I think a better question is around longevity. It doesn't seem like antibodies for covid stick around very long.
They target the spike protein, so it’s expected that they’ll handle all the strains. There’s some question around the mink strain, but its undecided as far as I know. So far covid is slow mutating.
