I just completed onsite with Gusto and recruiter told me that manager is willing to give an offer. Given the economic situation should I stay at Walmart or take this new offer? Walmart:L4- 150k(175k after the new salary structure) Gusto: 250k(175+ 75k paper money)
Take Gusto
YOE?
If gusto is all remote I would say take them. Otherwise Walmart wins in this economy
Gusto is 2 a week RTO
RTO is fine for me, but how is gusto doing in terms of business is what Iam curious about, except for the statement that trailing 12 month revenue is 500MM I don’t see any other details, might be it being a private company is the reason
Business is good.
I don’t understand why you’d ever take the one with less comp. And of course I’m biased but Gusto is way cooler to work at than Walmart lol. I don’t think bigger companies are necessarily giving more job security for engineers, layoffs happened everywhere
Op and other gusto folks, how soon after on-site does gusto usually get back to candidates if offer is possible?
Do you know how long it took to hear back from recruiter after tech screen @OP? Currently in the interview process
For initial tech screen I was told the very next day, for the onsite they took 3days
Can you speak how the onsite was? How to best prepare?
It’s perf review season so managers are probably a bit slow to respond.
Add poll, but I say Gusto
Blind will 💯 vote for the higher TC place. Unless one of the options is Google.
