Hi Everybody I am currently interviewing with LM and they are asking me for "Salary expectations" I live in MI so am really struggling to come up with a range or a number? How much should I ask? Usually one asks for 15 -20% of their base , but if that is in the MI area, how will that work for CA ? Rents and real estate is almost 4 times of MI, so need help understanding how I can give them a range or a number ? Note: I did ask them for a range and am waiting for their reply but any and all info will help--Thanks in advance
Unless you are interviewing for a senior SW role or for a management position on the Vehicle engineering side, good luck getting Lucid to offer you a base of 180K
I came to bay area from WI. Close enough right? It really just depends. You can be pretty happy at like 120-130 on your own. Depending on YOE and job title though you could be looking at 150-200. It really depends on vehicle engineer/sw engineer and YOE
OP: can you share your current level and salary? We can probably use that to derive what you should ask for.
Role is important as mentioned above. Software and hardware are unfortunately different worlds..
Role? YOE?
I was told 103k for sr. Vehicle engineering at lucid - while interviewing there
Just stay in MI. Rent for a one bedroom will double. CA state income tax is 5% higher. Sales tax is 3% higher.
But the California dreaming song- wants us to come to the bay area
Lucid has good potential to go public next year ,I would say get more stocks which will eventually appreciate
Doesn’t that depend on the number of options and the current value of those? No one at Lucid knows the outstanding shares information, not the current fair value of the options.
TC or GTFO we can give you a very accurate answer if you can tell your current compensation.
Lucid has base and paper money options. Anything less than 180k base will be difficult to maintain your lifestyle. You need to ask for at least 100k more than what you get in MI to be close to comparable
Good Byton thinking.... Byton easily gave 30-40k higher TC than Lucid back in 2018 for same level same role.
Lol 180k base. Reminds me of Byton. Destined to be a failure.
