Build up skills - career progress

How do you build up your skills from senior lead to the next level? You might be a backend dev / frontend (mobile, web) . What are you studying and from where? Besides leetcode, what is valuable out the there to invest money on? Certifications / courses / new techs? Need some smart chap out there to answer this question.
