I accidentally missed one of my employers when entering my previous experiences into HireRight as part of MSFT's recruiting process. I also missed uploading one of my w2's for one year at another employer. I let the HR recruiter and AskHR support know the next day after I submitted my forms but didn't get a response back from them for the last 2 week's. Today I found out the form just got submitted to MSFT. Are my chances of getting in gone because of these mistakes? Update 5/25: BGC was resubmitted on 5/7 and had all green flags no criminal history and degree was validated. Still no response from my HR recruiter. Reached to my ASKHR contact and they didn’t respond so needed to ask the HM who contacted them and told me that my BGC has been received and is still in review. #microsoft #tech
I think you are stressing about life too much. People make dumb mistakes daily - welcome to Microsoft
You have no idea how much info is available on you without submitting anything
The rumour has it that Microsoft messes-up on incoming background checks quite often, so there should be on-par with their own mess standards. This is especially true after Microsoft's attempt to tidy up a 2019 lawsuit filed by 1,800 women in the US, it was notable to see how some background check information in some women's profiles got backdated and incorrectly updated for whatever reason.
These should be ok, and not a reason to worry. Relax and congrats on the new opportunity!!
How long did it take for Hire right to finish? I did it yesterday and was just curious. You should be fine
HireRight took one week to finish their background check which mainly just consisted of me giving them my w-2s. They sent it in on 5/2 Edit: I filed a dispute to try and add back the missing work exp and the missed w-2 which i uploaded. 🤞
Did you get a start date?
How do you find out that the form has been submitted to MSFT?
They use the HireRight software. If you login you should be able to view your report.
OP, any update?
BGC has cleared after a little over a month. I needed to reach out to the person handling my case. ig something happened to my prev askhr rep and heard nothing back. Onto the next phases 🫡
Congratulations 🎉🎊
Nah… hire right should be pretty nominal and for obvious redflags… these shouldn’t hurt
