Meta dashboard hinted that I cheated
My spouse keep calling me fat for quite some time. I am very active and do cardio and weight lifting on regular basis. For the past few months, I am on anti-depressants that makes me bloated and does some water retention which gives an illusion of a weight gain. I watch what I eat. I am on high protein diet. I am feeling very low. I didn’t react on the comments and stay silent. Are there some tips for me from folks who’re into fitness to reduce unnecessary swelling? Edit: For those who’re asking about my routine. I am a 5K runner and can do reps on 15lbs single hand. The issue is I retain fluid naturally and have an abdominal separation because of pregnancies, that makes me look bloated in stomach area and face. I must say blind is unforgiving! TC: 180K
Tip - lose the spouse. That's dead weight.
Looks like the antidepressants isn't working. Up the dosage
M or F?
Would you answer be different based on the gender?
Yeah, obviously. Why wouldn't it be?
I have been married for over 20 years and both of us have had our ups and downs on the scale over the years. Beyond small jokes we have never shamed each other when one of us was heavy. We encourage each other to be fit and healthy when one of us has slipped too far down that oath. It’s not ok to shame your partner…
Just tell him that his remarks don’t help with your depression, i.e. shame him instead! :)
Tell ‘him’?
Or her 🤷♂️
Ask your spouse to join you in your workouts. They might stop taunting you once they realize how much discipline it takes to lose weight/build muscles.

You could try to switch antidepressants, not all of them will make you gain weight. Every body reacts differently
The only extra weight you need to lose is your spouse. Good luck!
