Mising the good old TC or GTFO culture ( good old blind days) Let's bring it back!
Is there a good book on CBT I can read for patients? Right now I'm reading Cognitive Behavioral therapy basics and beyond but it seems to be meant for therapists. Anything for patients?
Furiously Happy - a book based on cognitive therapy techniques for clients in support of depression treatment therapy
Feeling good : the new mood therapy by Dr Burns
theres a CBT workbook for dummies on amzn (meant for patients), you could try it and report back your review
OP, The book I mentioned earlier is available on Amazon now. If you do buy, would appreciate if you can leave a review. Thank you! 8 Tasks for a Healthy Mind https://www.amazon.com/dp/9389932890/ref=cm_sw_r_cp
Hey. Did u write it?
Hey, no, not me. But I know the author very closely. He did his MD Psychiatry from a top Medical school in India. (AIIMS if you know, and has a gold medal) So I would expect the book to be academically/technically precise. Also, as OP asked, this book is intended for regular people and not mental health professionals. So it is written without technical terms, in plain english in an instructional style trying to make it easier to follow.
