Mastercard, why? Just, why??

Posting on behalf of someone: Question for MasterCard recruiting, why doesn’t a company of such a high calibre offer relocation assistance to its interns? Even the U.S. military gives service members relocation assistance!! It’s just something that would ease the transistion process. AND a lot of other companies that can be grouped in the same category as MasterCard do it!!🤔 #tech #mastercard

I think almost all big companies offer relocation for intern this shows diversity in its workforce and equal opportunity or else companies will only have local impact and can hire local. I’m shock to hear MC doesn’t give relocation package to intern then it explains its struggle to find interns or FTE in MO

This took me a lot of time to learn and I am glad I did. Every single company has a budget for their employees and interns. Some offer incredible packages to even new grads like 250K+ but all of this comes down to the what talent the company is targeting. For example it's hard for msft to beat Google and fb salaries. Every now and then they might but it's rare. Similarly it's really hard for banks and finance companies to beat Microsoft. At the end of the day there are enough people willing to accept the job that it does not matter. The hiring manager may not get the best candidate but they will get a candidate that they can work with. Tldr Mastercard does not care. Enough people will move on their own. The ones who can get better offers will go somewhere else.
