large amount of tech debt no engineering best practices vague ownership no expert in specific areas of product spaghetti code written by people who dont work here anymore who were tasked to meet unattainable timelines so they cut corners every way possible ruby on rails which works well for small companies to get started but doesn't for a company making 70m monthly and wants to hit 100m+ in the future few tenured engineers who are spread thin. i wonder why are they even around business gets what they want at the cost of incurring large tech debt and short term thinking to obtain their OKRs in any way machine learning, partnership and auto sales are king here as they get what they want from comp to projects with all that being said..... after being here less than six months i love the company culture. remote friendly. people are smart and paid well for a company this size which may be harder now due to stock decline. trying to move in the right direction but progress is super slow. be sure to find the right team before you sign. my experience has been a mixed bag as i came from a very mature eng culture. a day doesn't go by without hearing a word "monolith"

Rip our monolith but we are slowly breaking it up... Slowly.

Very good to get this context before interviewing. Thanks for sharing!

I echo the sentiment of technical debt. The same people who have created tech debt now comment on others PR that this is not right. Makes me feel noone cares abt quality anymore in tech But i feel the real stars are the founders. Very mature and humble

What’s the best team to join? I am planning to apply for Sr. TPM role.
