Last year I had a big stye (technically a chalazion) on my right eye which I had to get surgically removed. I had Kaiser and the doctor was great and the surgery was successful. I switched to Aetna this year (because I was thinking of moving out of California). I got a similar stye on my left eye this time and had to find a new doctor through Aetna. I got a similar surgery done, but unfortunately it was unsuccessful and the stye is still there. Today when I went for a follow up, the doctor said she needs to do the surgery again. This is really disheartening and I don't want to subject my eyes to unnecessary surgeries. I want to go back to the Kaiser doctor. Can I do that? #insurance #health #eyes
You didn't need to switch to aetna, i think you can open enroll when you move out of state. So you could just stayed with Kaiser until you actually moved.
This is correct
You possibly could but since itโs out of network, youโd have to pay more out of pocket
Thanks Google. I'll call Kaiser and ask.
