Offer Eval for Amazon, Uber, Startup

Amazon sign on is 100k first year and 80k second year. With their backloaded RSU and lack of refresher, it is about 300 annual comp on avg. Amazon has bad reputation on Blind due to pip and hardass managers. But the team is in Amazon AGI, not sure if different. Uber project/team is lower priority / internal-facing than Amazon’s. But Uber is more prestigious and has better culture as it seems on Blind. Although comp is lower, the refreshers are the best of these? Also RSU is front loaded so more like 290 in year 1. DoorDash is front loaded so about 320K a year on avg. Team is working on similar stuff as I am working on now. Startup is also quite strong and fast growing. In series B. Flexible remote work policy. I would stay away from Amazon AGI my friend. Org has a horrible reputation and burns through money. Management over at AGI isn’t great

I’m in Ads and it’s a great team to be in. Good work life balance, great leadership and great team members. My friend in Ads and AWS share this. It’s team dependent. You could join and switch internally if things are bad but it’s competitive to switch internally

Go with Uber, more selective brand than Amazon for the future. And also stock has more upside potential, maybe 100% but more risk too. Amazon also has good upside from here, like 25-40% but more stable.

Ah okay. Sorry, I was confused by L4 for Amazon and I was mapping entry level for other companies too. This is an L5 offer for Amazon. So, you are offered middle of the band in all three companies.
