I am not doing something right! Even with a referral, my #resume got rejected thrice for a #policy role that I felt I was a great fit for. I know it is not mandatory to get an interview call, so the natural conclusion I can arrive at is that #facebook does not think my resume is strong enough. Anyone here who would volunteer share any thoughts? #policygenius
perhaps the position went to an internal candidate.
Facebook thinks that levels should highly correlate with YoE. Their thinking (at least for the engineers) is that if you're working in the industry for 10 years, and still don't hold a senior-level position, something is wrong with you and they should stay away from you as a candidate. Try looking at your resume from this position – sometimes truncating it (not counting all the "half-time intern" positions) might help.
