Got emailer below. “If you are assigned a desk then you are expected to be in office for 4 days a week (Monday thru Thursday) and for 8+ hours. I have received reports that this is not being followed by several individuals. “ #Fiserv is getting crazier. What next, 40 hours in 4 days office? 5+ days in office??
It feels like the end goal here will be to do away with salaried jobs, force everyone to log their hours, then cut hours back whenever a company wants to save some cash.
That's disgusting... don't give them ideas
This is how the restaurant industry works. As a former restaurant worker, I can’t even begin to count the amount of times my manager cut my hours or assigned me to barely any work during the week due to the fact we brought on a lot of people, who eventually left. This was all done for the sake of controlling the labor cost of a restaurant. I also experienced the same thing as a contractor, but at least I was able to consistently bill 40 hours of work.
I don’t know I kind of like the idea of going back to hooray. So sick of working from the moment I open my eyes to the moment i shut them as a salaried employee
Yea, sounds like time to find a new job. Remember companies are sensitive to their workforce's behavior. If a bunch of strong people quit, they take that as a signal.
There are too many forces who matter who want rto to happen .
996 baby
I mean, if it weren't for labor laws it'd be 7 days RTO. You best believe that's what companies want.
There’s no law that says you can’t ask your employees to work 24/7. There’s a lot of jobs that do.
Maybe not in The Land of The Free, but in Europe there's The Working Time Directive.
