Been in my current role for 6 months, on the strategy / product side. The VP that hired me left for a startup, and has offered me a role reporting to them directly. Company is currently going through series A with about 70 employees. Pros: +25k base / bonus 50,000 shares over 4 years Fully remote Background: I currently go into the office 4-5 days a week. Since the VP has left, I’ve been reporting directly to the Exec. VP who reports to CEO. They have put me into some great projects that quite frankly most my level would not be on. Business development calls / evaluating M&A, equity investments, etc. I currently work 60/70 hours a week. I’ve never worked in a startup, all experience this far has been large public companies. Definitely drawn into the potential equity, wide breadth of experience, etc. CEO/management team at the startup have founded and taken companies public previously. One thing holding me back is I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on the business model / space the startup is playing in. But at what point does TC / WLB / startup experience trump the current gig? TC: 102k 🥜 Greatly appreciated!
After reading your message I was mentally prepared to see a TC amount closer to million dollars. Not much, but you fell short of 1 zero.
Haha fair, I’m currently a corporate strategy analyst, very lean team of 3 at my current role. Also, FWIW, not at gartner anymore.
