Hello Blind Family, I joined @aptiv around 2 years ago for Troy Mi location as ADAS Vehicle Validation Engineer. Recently i got furloughed and am not sure when i will return back to work given the situation in Michigan. I’m interested in Autonomous Vehicle Control, Can someone be able to point me to correct resources so that i can use this time to learn and increase my skill set as my dream job is AV Control Engineer. 10% reduction in salary, no lay offs for direct hires. Contactors got laid off, and my understanding is not all of them, business critical stayed.
I would suggest looking at Uber, Lyft, Cruise and Waymo as they are leading the AV game. Sorry unfortunately I don’t have any strong contacts to help you.
Any reason why you not recommending cruise? Work culture ?

Hello, The Vehicle control folks work on the Low level control or work with the high level control and write code for different algorithms in terms of state estimation, tracking the path from the planner and providing comfort during the ride
