I'm thinking about buying into a stock picking service for a year and seeing how it does. I've got a couple hundred grand sitting in an etrade account that I'm not touching for a while, gained 20% last year but I'm thinking using a service would do better than me. I'm not an investor really, I just buy what seems good at the time. Anybody have any experience here? Recommendations?
There is one. I'll not tell you unless you're retar-ded.
I’m an empty vessel ready to help pump and dump
I’ll charge even less than your even less so there
Whats tbe service name? How much is the fee? Validity?
If that was for me, I don't really have one picked out yet. I've looked at some of the motley fool ones and they're a couple grand a year and fairly reputable.
Couple grand? Definitely not worth it. Their picks has to run up like crazy to break even the cost right? I would try the trial from various such services and pick the best of all with a least subscription and would decide if I can go for annual then.
I’m on motley fools but hard to say it’s worth it.
What was your return percentage last year?
OP: bogleheads.org. Go, read.
That seems like great information. I wonder how I could beat professionals though, seems like a lot of work to still be at a disadvantage. Less of a disadvantage, but still... My time is spent maintaining high TC in this field.
Professionals don't consistently beat index funds over multi-year periods. That's a big myth. Just start lurking on bogleheads.
I know a free one! it's called r/wallstreetbets
Yeah I'd rather make money instead. 🙂
If they are so good at stock picking they'd be a hedge fund instead of a service.
SPaaS: stocks picking as a service
I have a really good one. I'll even guarantee I'll at least match the SP500, before fees. And I have one open slot left. DM me for this rare opportunity.
Rare opportunity? lol
At least match the S&P 500 "before fees"? Quite a selling point. I can do that too. And I bet I will charge them less than you to put their money into a S&P 500 index fund.
