If FTE whats min TC ? if contracting whats min rate per hr? Contracting will help save taxes but how it will hit career growth is not sure unless one got own consulting business or atleast great reputation in industry. FTE is usually lowball game in toronto and only few tech companies offer around/over 200k TC. For these positions at least half the team will be in USA, which means u are simply a cost cut resource. Again, different company different TC… senior developer also means different things at different places. At Google, L4 ~ 270k first year, L5 ~ 325k CAD TC (note that stock is front loaded, so good for employees) At Qualcomm / AMD Senior engineer is basically one level above entry, TC ~ 160k at Qualcomm At Nvidia, ~250k CAD for first level of Senior Software Engineer
