Twitter will just be used as an example recruitment tool for other companies. âWe have better benefits than X!â No one looks to the Musk companies as industry leaders in compensation and benefits.
People should leave and let him work alone.
Cheap labor will replace them in droves. There are probably a number of musk cult followers who would work for him for free.
Can any Twitter employee confirm this?
Confirming
yep no more mac n cheese
If twitter turns it around .. then yes, expect adoption of this .. board looks for company to stay profitable and looks at bottomlineâŚ.they may do ar less shock level but it would happen.. folks who voted nothing will change clearly are tech guys who donât understand business.. Never say never in Corporate America.. if it aint your own firm.. anything can happen ..
Musk believes that big tech employees are coddled and overpaid and entitled. These steps are to send a message to the industry to lower the benefits.
Yeah because he believes in extracting more wealth out of employees plain and simple
People are a mine to extract wealth from in his eyes
Getting rid of daycare allowance doesnât make sense.
Well, if you look at most Asian economies, they have no perks and pay low wages. Youâre just lucky youâre in the US where you can be overprivileged and get snacks in the office among other things that are basically just nice to haves. Iâd be concerned if he starts cutting heathcare benefits.
No offense but at my first job (In Asia) the company introduced free snacks. Next day all of them gone. I saw an employee stuffing his bags with those snack bars.
Iâve seen this happen before and the employee was promptly fired
It will take time, but any public company is going to feel pressure to move in this direction. It will take time, because you canât just strip everything away immediately without droves of people leaving and disrupting the business. (Obviously Musk has not been concerned about that!) It will be a slow and steady erosion over a period of years. Hi tech perks will not survive this down turn, in established companies, especially the public ones.
Dear lord, one company shitting the bed doesnât make it a trend.
Publicly Infront of millions of people? Most who are investors on multiple boards?
Oh trust me , the investors and ceos will use this as their bars and just do the bare minimum to quote theyâre better than twitter.
