I am interviewing for E5 MLE and I am not good at system design. Before freezing, there was a chance to be offered an E4 if ppl do well in coding and average in SD. I am wondering when meta will open E4 MLE positions. I am interviewing for remote role from Europe to UK office.
Did you get feedback from your recruiter yet? Think I might be in the same boat. Had my onsite Friday and tanked the SD interview but feel confident about the rest.
Good to know, thanks! I thought my ML Design was pretty solid. With the SD, the interviewer did copy & paste the question rather than reading it out loud. In the heat of the moment I read it too fast/ was biased after I generally got what this was about. Basically my design did not weight in a twist that was in the question. I'd give myself a 'nope' for that but guess we'll find out next week.
I explicitly asked my interviewer and they told me something vague along the lines: "Usually this sort of posting is for E4 to E6. E4 would be bad as there is currently no headcount. The level will be determined by the performance during the onsite".
