Currently working in a insurance company(very small ~3k employees) in central America as FTE, Got an offer in TCS, remote until covid. Client is major retail company in Atlanta. Offered 20k plus than what i am getting now. Not SURE *if accepting Offer is good option or not. * leaving FTE becoming contractor to major retail company is worth it not. Need input...!!! Share experiences if any similar !!!! #confused. Giving it a thought cause of 20kâŹïž and bonus 6.5% Not a troll. I want to know if this good switch. Will it impact my resume in future.
Once you put WITCH on your resume, it gets very hard to attract big companies. Donât
I have 7+ years of exp, does witchđ make that much difference on my resume? As i will be working for client. But as contractor to them
Yes it does, because at the end TCS is your employer and not the client. If TCS is putting you in google, you canât say I am a google employee. Maybe add your current TC and offer TC, might be able to gauge better.
Itâs not good move. However having TCS in resume have no impact if you really on good projects. However such chance is very low
Do you mind elaborating, why is it not a good move. What basis are you calling it as not good move. Thanks for the reply.
20k after tax is lesser. Try go into product based and take consulting company as last approach. You need to know about bench policy, relocation assistance on every project move. You may or may not cause any impact.
Is this a troll post?
Did you work at Qualtrics before?
Donât do it
@op the Tcs hike will not be 4% each time . For top performance it may be 4% else it will be lower
Hey man donât listen to the majority here. You do whatâs best for you. I use to work at TCS and still got offers from big tech. Your skill level is all that matters at the end of the day.
I work at TCS and still get big name Companies TCS in North America is better I report to the head of design studios good fair person
You are asking opinion based on assumptions howâs TCS works in USA?
Yes, and also is it good switch ?
Op You seem nice. TCS culture isnât the best and not the one to look forward for. Iâm sure you have great experiences and looking forward for more. Try some other organizations like Amdocs etc where work culture is much better. Not that TCS makes u work hard I think they have a way to exploit u. They can get away for being rude, judgemental, fundamentally crossing a line all under a belt. You will get used to morning client calls and late night offshore calls - beats me why. All for 20 K extra which means trading your soul to the devil.
