How do people achieve this state? I can only imagine that if I get huge amount of money in a lottery, then only I can achieve all of this. I won't have to work for money, so mental health will be great, I will have lots of time to do fulfilling activities, I can also use that time to build and maintain good Relationships, I will get time to improve physical fitness too. So the lack of money is the root cause of everything. Isn't it true? Why do people say money is not important? Literally it looks like money would change everyone's life in a matter of seconds, wouldn't it?
Ask Bezos to adopt you... rest will follow you 😜
Financial Independence. Save a big percentage of your google comp, invest it, get to a state where you no longer need to work for money (very doable in less than 10 years with Google comp). This will give you time to focus on health and relationships. Money is very important to those who don't have money. But after a certain point spending more money brings diminishing returns in terms of happiness.
At what level can one say that they don't need money?
That depends on figuring out how much you need per year to be happy and realizing more you spend doesn't actually make you happier. And that number is different from person to person. For me that number is somewhere between 60k-120k. And I need to save 25x-30x that to be able to generate that without needing to work. I can get there working less than 15 years or perhaps less than 10 years at Google.
Prioritize yourself and you shall have all the things you wanted. Its weird but I have been trying to prioritize my personal life (including me time) over work or others and I have been happier and calmer in my life. I am not saying become a self-centered bit** but do think about personal profit-loss when it comes to things in life. Say no or push back if something tries to intrude aka set boundaries. My health is better, relationship has improved, work is less stressful, infact got time to improve my knowledge in almost anything I wish to. Currently, interviewing to bump up that TC and better work environment as well. Be a lil more selfish in life my friend to achieve what you want.
I don't think it is. You also need some willpower. Imagine taking a one year break. Will you work towards the other goals or spend the time watching TV and scrolling through Instagram?
Personally I would I achieve so many other personal goals and pursue hobbies, do some social work, etc.
