Amazon Program Manager -II (L5) non-tech salary negotiation

Hi guys, I just got a verbal offer from recruiter saying the base would be $105k , sign-on bonus of $25k split over two years and rsu (total comp would be around $125k to $127k) for Seattle area. Is that a good comp? I have 5 years of experience and an MBA. Is it worth negotiating further in this market or should I just take whatever is quoted? Please advise. Thank you!

I’d push for more. I know the PMM L5 base goes up to 165K

5 years ago my friend got a better offer ~140k for L5 non tech program manager. You should ask for more

That comp sounds right to me. I'm an L5 PM too in the Seattle area.

What’s the number of stocks they gave ? Especially now with bloated stock price

You can always get more stock with performance. But pls ask for more base. Whatever base you are offered is what you are stuck with till a promotion. You maybe get 2% more per year. Ask for $125K base. With your MBA, that’s what you need. $125k base, $25k sign on and $10k a year RSU. That’s top of the band for L5 non tech

Goddamn they are low ball now. And giving you l5 for your experience is crazy

I'm shocked they're still touting around this low TC 3 years later for Non-Tech L5 PMs - Seattle (I had 3 YOE and an MBA). My offer was basically $105K Base Sign On 30K Year 1 22k Year 2 and 25 shares. I would push for more, because the workload and scope is insane, the effort and level of responsibility is a ton. I was hired as an L5 but technically stepped into an L6 role and had to perform immediately as my predecessor moved teams within a couple of weeks of me joining. So I was delivering L6 responsibilities literally from day 1 with little to no support. Either that or accept this offer and jump to a non-tech product manager role as soon as possible after joining (within the first 4 months as your base will adjust by at least 7-10% as the product manager job family has higher bands than the program manager job family, why this is the case remains a mystery to me because in my opinion, the workload and scope is the same).
