Quitting this Slave life

I dont think I can handle anymore, just imagining myself working as a corporate slave for 20+ more years. Working hard for promo/good ratings is just not worth it anymore. No fullfilment at all. Any advice what on what to do? Does joining a startup better or no? Maybe focus on side hustles? My life on the weekend is good, but its only 2 days then its back to the factory

Bro don’t join a start up lol

At least at a startup what you’re working on actually matters 80% of the time. In large companies it’s too easy for your work to feel meaningless.

Yea i was thinking what Apollo said but i guess theres only one way to find out

When you say factory, do you mean manufacturing? If it is, that explains it.

The point of working for Meta is to accumulate wealth early and fast so that you can retire before your soul disappears

True that 💰

It disappears in 1 - 2 years. Ain’t no way that’s enough time to build wealth.

What's the safeword to get out of an unfulfilling career?

Atlassian harsharam May 1

If someone retires to something, they seem.to have a fuller life than just retire. It could be anything,.and it's especially good if it is something that makes the person internally happy and satisfied. Takes time to realize it but it is worth the effort to find the purpose in one's life

How to find purpose ?

I can’t say I understand what you wrote. But I’m happy you feel closer to your purpose

What’s your YOE and nw? Maybe you can just retire?

Meta uhgA18 OP May 1

6, 750k. Not even close to retiring

Maybe take some time off to decompress from work? You can afford to chill for a year then come back to the industry refreshed. Or find an alternative career in the meantime
