Replace PMs with EMs
Today I gave a few CVPs the feedback that product managers should be replaced by engineering managers. A bunch of very senior SDEs are writing a letter to the board to cut out useless fat, so we can get better comp. DM if you want to take part
Why are you triggered against product managers?
Give them an offer they cannot refuse. Tell them how you'll make them 10 times the revenue PMs are making them. Not demanding more money for yourself

I initiated another feedback to replace EM’s with accountable engineers so we can get rid of half baked PM’s/PgMs/Project Managers/engineers whom I call as EM’s.

So you plan to sit and talk to customers, stakeholders, designers, other teams whole day? Not for me. I would rather use that time to engineer something and delegate the work to PM any day
You are doing this the wrong way. The question to ask is why is CSuite not penalized for over hiring that they were directly responsible for and low level workers got the boot. Even if it is a genuine oversight, then CEO should be paid no bonus and salary should be cut. Why does Elon Musk need $50 billion salary with a crony board filled with friends and relatives? No CEO got penalized except Tim Cook who led by example.
Why doesn’t OP start their own tech company with zero PM’s, rather than trying to be an asshole and try to get people to lose their jobs. PM’s are real people who have responsibilities and families to provide for. Worry about yourself OP.
