If you own Tesla shares, use your vote to send signals. Musk’s $56 billion compensation is up for shareholder voting. Shareholder meeting is on June 13. At current share price, the former $56 billion is equivalent to $47 billion. $47,000,000,000 could pay the recently dismissed 14,000 Tesla employees an annual salary of $120,000 each for 28 years. It’s wild to believe that a leader that makes poor choices and lays off thousands of its employees somehow deserves $47 billion in compensation.
Yeah this is not a good look. Hopefully it gets voted down.
I voted for him, it is rather better to give it to him then give it to random people
It’s not random people, the money will go to employees and other investments. For a healthy business these should be preferable
The compensation is for the work done for years between 2016 and 2019. Also the layoffs are based on slowness in economy due to inflation introduced by your beloved policies of Inflation reduction act introduced by Brandon
Tell me you don't understand how stock based comp works without telling me
I think OP does understand. Just because stock comp isn’t cash the company is paying doesn’t mean it doesn’t come at a price. Otherwise why is every company not just printing infinite stock and why would they bother with stock buybacks? This is basically the same as giving Musk the cash where Tesla generated the cash by an additional stock offering on the market. See how that’s gone for companies.
If OP understood, they would look at stock value during grant time not today. You need to learn how stock prices and company valuations work.
Thinking about starting a go fund me for Elon. He deserves our money. I've been donating to billionaires for years now.
dentge
Free cash flow turned out to be negative last quarter, and there are zero signs to indicate that this will change. How does this ketamine psycho want to take so much money out of the company when it is facing so many headwinds and is likely to face a huge cash crunch going forward.
Apparently money doesn’t motivate him, he’s said many times. Total BS
I haven’t got the proxy info yet on Schwab. Anyone else?
Got today from E*Trade
Do you guys think a bunch of leetcode monkeys on blind will make a difference? He’s practically one of the largest shareholders of the company itself so this is guaranteed, barring every single board member and every major fund manager wanting to vote him out. It’s a done deal
Agreed!
