What is going on with this job market

I know the job market is terrible but this is crazy. 3 months to the day since I got laid off, submitted job application #300 in that time today. I’m growing frustrated and running out of savings. Not really sure what to do. Am I doing something wrong? FEE with 8+ YOE and I’ve had 1 interview, which did not result in an offer#engineering #software #swe .

Front died a while ago. Might have to add salesforce to your resume to get interviews.

There’s no shortage of job postings for Frontend. Like I said, filled out about 300 Frontend specific applications

Not all job listings are real.

It’s a bizarre season indeed. Also no luck here and I’ve been applying like crazy and still have a job.

Keep that job as long as you can!

Got laid off December…. Still nothing

I am applying since past 3/4 weeks - got only one interview. All the jobs i applied were 100% match to my current job. Salary offered is pretty low as well.

Entering a software winter. I heard software jobs are down 40% since the pandemic, which tracks. Worse yet, new grads have even less opportunity

I couldn’t imagine trying to break into the market now with no work experience

In bad job markets, it takes a year to find a job, especially for high paying jobs. Also, you need to be fully flexible in terms of location and companies.

https://www.teamblind.com/us/s/5XqCVhkB Most likely it'll get worse. Find some temp jobs and be flexible. Sounds like it's your first recession. Welcome to real life.

I had 10 + interviews since beginning of the year. Got 4 offers.

Same question here, what’s your resume look like?
