Which level are you based on below?
It is missing a Level 8: You control the issuance of money
7 is an oxymoron. Needs adapt with NW. So technically, you can never have enough.
What are you talking about? There are so many people who have more money than they will ever spend in their lifetime. Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, etc etc. There are also many people who have hundreds of millions of dollars who will never spend it all.
Yeah but at that level they don’t dream of trivial stuff like you and me. Probably want to buy islands. Or a Time Machine that makes them younger. Basically shit that you and I can’t even fathom wanting in our entire lifetime.
At 5. Need to reach 6. That's a big gap to jump.
5 -> 6 is like a 10-20x jump it feels like
It's <10x for me at this point, but without a crazy increase in comp, that takes like two+ decades in market growth.
I don't keep an emergency fund but can sustain my expenses indefinitely, does that mean I'm stuck at 4 or 6?
6
Blinders are doing really well compared to the rest of the population. At least 70% of respondents said they could take 2 years off work, if needed. Keep it up! 👏
If 4% rule is legit, then (6).
6 or 7
You are 7 if you are the guy with 8M NW
9M in financial assets + house that's almost paid off
