Some aspects of the compensation are much better than what you can get outside in the market such as their profit-sharing but the vesting time period is too long for it to make any sense as wages do not move up enough to catch inflation. I do think that the people Operators are some of the best and most hardworking out there so it was a plus to have worked with them.
This company is too top-heavy with compensation. They are going to see massive churn as a result of this. They continue to claim that they are fairly setting the rates for employees but that is a joke. The highly touted culture is only reserved for the few that fit into the core "in" group. If you fall out of favor, then you quickly lose your ability to be effective as no one will take you seriously.
Grocery Outlet Bargain Market and Big Lots will be filling the vacant Hatch Road building once home to the Rancho San Miguel Market.
Grocery Outlet’s (GO) store-growth endeavors and product offerings are encouraging. GO’s flexible sourcing and distribution business model also bodes well.
