New MacBook Pro

I’ve been using my 2015 MacBook pro 13 inch for the past 6 years and desperately need to upgrade. I have my eyes on the M1 pro MacBook pro 16 inch, but it’s so bulky and heavy. Is it worth holding off for the next model (hopefully goes back to 2019 profile)? Should it come out in October? Need help
