JPMorgan -3 days WFO from NYC. -190K + 50K Tradeweb -Remote from Texas. -250k + 60k
Add Poll but I vote tradeweb.
Do not join JPMC if ur a SWE
Oh dang how come? Im a potential incoming SEP
It’s a bank. So software is an expense not a revenue generator. So there will be a better culture in other companies. @NIOH
unless you want to move to new york and get another job later, idk why you wouldn't choose the other one?
The difference will go higher. Because of CoL is higher in NYC. Plus Texas is tax free. The difference is 70K + CoL Diff + State Tax = 70K + 30K + 25K = 125K = 80k diff after tax payment.
You answered your own question here. Btw what's your role and yoe?
lmao "tax free" might want to check out Dallas, TX property tax. Trust me TX isn't cheap as people think.
JPMorgan : VP Tradeweb : Don't know yet. I assume same as VP
Jpmc will match the offer. Get a written offer from trade web and send it to jpmc. Will be a shitty ish move but you get to join jpmc (we had decent earnings, stable in this economy). I’d highly recommend living in Nj and working the 2 days in nyc.
this is a no brainer
No brainer for which one. JPMorgan or Tradeweb.
Yoe?
First off you need to consider lifestyles. If you love NY you will literally hate Dallas. Dallas is 'great' but zero outdoors and massively different lifestyle/people. I'd get JMPC to move up to 220K and stay in NY personally. Sure $ doesn't go as far, but simply moving from NY to TX based on $$ is a MASSIVE difference. The two states could not be more different.
Money wise - No brainer here. Join TradeWeb.
