Hi! I have an upcoming interview with Confluent, which includes a Hiring manager phone call, a take home assignment and a series of virtual onsite interviews. I’d like to learn some tips about the interview if anyone has done a PM interview. If anyone wants to study together, feel free to let me know!
The hiring manager round is a fitment round. They do expect some technical chops depending on the team you're interviewing for, an affinity for heavy product documentation and an experience leading products on (almost) entirely your own to success. Don't know about the remaining rounds since I was ghosted afterwards.
Really would like to know the future of this company and their Kafka product. Are most of their customers enterprise customers? It would be a gamble to stay long at this company. They can’t seem to figure out when to go IPO or get acquired.
They filed confidentially for their ipo two weeks ago
What do you mean by "long"? 6months, 1year, 3years...
Let us know the TC details and the interview. We don’t hear much about Confluent on Blind. Seems like a lot of Google folks are going there.
