Idea: perform at e4 until I hit red zone, take fmla, come back and get pipped + get severance, try to go to google?
I doubt you can join google but sure
Yes, but mainly because: - it hinges on getting into Google, which is neither guaranteed nor entirely likely if you’re not in a LCOL country. Company priorities are whack rn - tbh, having been at both, I’d prefer Meta today than Google. (Though GOOG can keep going up pls) - your process is ordered wrong. Start the “try to go to google” before your FMLA, ideally interview during that time, and have the job offer lined up. Google at least -used to- have a hard-on for hiring from Meta. Either way, it’s probably easier if you’re a “current Meta employee,” than a “former Meta employee”
What's red zone? Is it possible to stay E4 forever?
Learn the right skills and youll be ok https://cybersec.xmcyber.com/s/the-ultimate-active-directory-security-checklist-for-2024-14285
No, Google will absolutely fire you at midnight and cut your connection to the company immediately, most important is ZERO severance.
If you are good enough to land an e4 job at Meta, why not push to e5 then go sideways? That early in your career you should push and learn, then chill once you have the base skills. Chilling and getting fired at e4 sounds meh to me. You can also get better offers with e5 against your name rather than e4
Lol. Google is entirely moving to Bangalore
I always thought that you don’t get severance after PIP
If you don't care to go back to Facebook ever again, sure. You only live once, live like you like, enjoy.
I'm sure by that time I'll be sick of the company anyway
How many hours a day (mentally present not just physically) do you need to get to e5 quick vs fly above the radar at e4?
