I got the below offer from Icertis. Pl tell me if I should accept or not and why. One positive thing about this offer is permanent WFH which I am not getting elsewhere. All figures in LPA. Last TC - 23.3 (fixed)+ 3.6 (performance)+ 2.4 (retention) = 29.3 Last designation - DGM IT at a large conglomerate Offered TC - 31.3 (fixed)+ 4.7 (performance) = 36 Designation offered - Manager partner success at a mid size startup (1300 people, series F funded) I tried negotiating but nothing changed except additional joining bonus of 1.5 & they are not considering my YOY retention bonus, assuming TC as 27. But my main concern is the title, they didn't make it SPM even after trying, I feel this is step-down for me, spl. if I switch, my next role will never be much senior level. What do you feel? YoE 13
What job role is this , based on your yoe and salary it's doesn't look like dev or manager
This is part of Partner Enablement/Success who do product implementation at clients. This is not a pure tech role but it is a techno managerial one. Last role was into PM and TPM area.
Offer looks good, but If you’re looking to break into pure play Product management then it may not be a good choice to move into Customer success roles that too at a startup. As you mentioned, it will lower your leverage for your next role. Too many acronyms, what do they mean? DGM, SPM
Update: I declined the offer for 2 reasons 1. Title was lower 2. Profile would get diluted. Dont want to start afresh in a new field at a lower position.
Correction : Icertis is no more a startup, atleast in the way they work. It's more like client services, especially in engineering teams.
What's your yoe
Updated, it is 13.
