I have final round interviews coming up at Google for a PM role (L6/L5). Can folks point me to best resources that would be ideal for prep in a short time window (HM wants to fill the role quickly and wants me to interview asap)? TC: 285K #product #productmanager #google
Lots of L6 / L7 PMs from Google who support mocks on Prepfully. They do charge per session but you’ll get practice in a really short span, which sounds like what you’re looking for.
Did you had the HM do the team match conversation after the recruiter conversation? If yes, what was the format of the conversation and questions that the hiring manager asked? You mentioned it's for L5/L6, is the level not decided yet and will depend on the performance in the 5 on-site interviews? Thanks
1. HM conversation does not happen before onsite. Usually HM identifies resume, candidate goes through the recruiter screen and the loop, then goes through the team match call 2. OP is probably interviewing for L6. Exact Leveling is decided during Hiring Committee based on on-site performance and background.
I have a friend at MSFT who mentioned that the hiring manager wants to do a team match conversation before the on site loop starts. Might be that the hiring manager wants to make sure my friend is a good fit for the position before putting him in the on site loop.
I cleared loop late in 2022 and did not get a team match due to freeze, lay offs and preference to internal candidates. This time around they did the team match first but I have to go through the loop again because previous results have expired.
The process at google appears to have changed broadly where team match with hiring manager is happening prior to final loop which makes a lot more sense
