What am I doing wrong?? I am an ex-musician who's married with two kids(can't change that part lol). I recently moved back to Los Angeles for family issues but didn't get COL increase. I have just started doing contract work on the side but it's just not enough and there aren't enough hours in the day!! What immediate changes can I make to increase my income besides LEET(open to side hustle tips) I have no degree, just a Bootcamp certificate. Also, don't tell me to talk to my career counselor, my company(who ended up getting acquired by Accenture a week after getting approval to move), was nice enough to let me go remote, I don't think I am in a place to ask for an increase considering there is no business need for my move and I am not a top preformer. TLDR: I need some tips on getting that 200k +TOC that doesn't involve too much of my precious time or losing my precious remote status. Anything that beats digging a cry hole in the yard🙇
Not a top performer, no formal training, doesn't want to put in time and doesn't want to give up cushy situation, but wants to double TC to be top ~5% in the nation. My advice - play the lottery.
Can't get that TC without giving anything up, man.
It’s a wonder you’re making six figures. Bubble!
106k isn’t bad for LA at all.
You can either have a hard life because you are paying the price for a good life, or you can have a hard life because you didn’t pay the price for a good life.
106k is not bad for musician with no degree. You are doing better than 99% of musicians.
