Very interesting! I thought the vibe here was like no sexism at work place it’s just female whining. But apparently the poll says 46% witnessed sexism at work place??!!! What did you witness? What’s considered sexism? Or are we talking about reverse sexism?
Have witnessed lots of sexism particularly from people born and raised in countries with sexist cultures.
Then...is US considered as sexist culture??
Not nearly as bad as places in the Middle East for example.
Is this a gender breakdown of Blind or a survey of witnessing sexism in the workplace?
Looks like it's just a survey of witnessing sexism, but odds are it's mostly filled with males. There have been a few gender polls done on here and the stats usually fall somewhere in the range of 1:4 to 1:6 women : men
I’m surprised the numbers aren’t higher. With the amount of men whining on every thread related to women about how they feel marginalized when a women at work are given a chance to level the playing field. ... I feel like if a woman starts a thread about her uterus hurting or some shit, at least half the responses will be from men claiming their uterus hurts even more and she’s just complaining to get ahead
There should've been a time frame on the question.
Hmmm I disagree. So if it happened a long time ago, it matters less?
Some of us have been around a long time. It's not real relevant what happened over ten years ago.
In my experience African-Americans have a very sexist culture and it carries over to the workplace or to interactions with them in the street. There are also many in the US.
There is sexism and as people
There is no such thing as "reverse" isms. It's just the ism. If a male gets sexually harassed it's still sexism. Don't call it reverse sexism.
Right on!
