$90k

Is a $90k salary worth keeping in a dying industry, but no college degree? I'd have to move to NYC or LA to come close to this salary.

Not enough details.

I work in broadcast news, make $90k, no college degree and I'm about to be 38. Appears that I won't have a career in this industry long... Should I change careers now or stick it out?

IMO start prepping yourself for a career move in case layoffs happen. Where are you located?

Nope.

$90k is good for no college degrees. You need to map out alternatives. Are you interested in real estate? You can get a license while working your current gig and slowly move into that? Low risk since you still have your current job. Just a thought

This is a great idea, we had an traffic person on our local evening news do this. She shifted to mornings in the field and runs her RE in the afternoons.

Yea and it’s so low barrier to entry. I’ve considered getting my license just in case I’m ever laid off

I was in broadcast news. Saw the writing on the wall after a year and moved to software engineering. Making 230k this year with 1 year of experience. I'd highly recommend learning to code.
