Is it a sign of a shitty company? If companies complain about shortage of good engineers, then why do they make it a damn quest just to apply? And that's after a referral!
Apple makes you do this too
I never applied to companies that uses Taleo.
Taleo is a disaster
Taleo is a nightmare. I ended up using it for my current job but not until they had screened me, looped me and made a verbal offer, and required the rest of my details via taleo to start the background check before releasing my written offer
Workday ats seems to force this.
Amazon is efficient when it comes to this. But when you hire and fire massive amounts of people like they do, then you haven’t much choice. Amazon’s scaling challenges apply to HR systems as well. I didn’t even provide an employment history — my education and work credentials could have been completely fabricated and they wouldn’t have found out.
Google makes you register on a shitty portal when you apply
Really? I honestly don't remember that. Even if it did this, then I am guessing it was very smooth - otherwise I would have remembered.
