Question to hiring managers on blind: if you are hiring a senior engineer and he/she is a leetcode rockstar during the interview, shouldn’t it be a yellow flag? Most likely they have been grinding leetcode all the time and have less time on learning new languages, new tech stacks, working on personal projects, reflecting on software engineering etc. Those aspects are way more important than leetcodibility, epecially for senior roles. Disclaimer: No offence to fellow leetcoders, I’m grinding as well 😀. What do you think?
I should’ve turned on my Grammarly

If I feel like your memorizing questions instead of understanding the content, that’s a red flag.
Don't hate the player, hate the game
You are assuming that these are two mutually exclusive sets - incorrect assumption.
Everyone asks leetcode for every level. All my interview questions have been directly from leetcode or variants of them. I’m sure that’s what almost everyone here would say.
I have 8 years experience and I have been interviewing for senior level positions. I am L63 @ Microsoft. I’m surprised you think otherwise !
Yeah, it’s all leetcode now my friend :)
Leetcode is for lazy interviewers.
Yer first mistake is thinking something is more important than Leetcode.

Ok. Let's break this down and see where your logic fails. John is a good engineer. John knows to get into a company he likes, he needs to be good at LC. He studies hard and passes with flying colors. Then HM should think oh he's too good. So HM should reject him? You see... try again.
So he should do poorly to get hired?
Or she...
Thank you, Stan. Sorry... Loretta!
