What is the good/bad/ugly for sales at AWS? Help or answers to any of the following questions is much appreciated. How is the sales group organized? What is the hierarchy? I see titles like: “Global Account Manager”, “Named Account Manager”, “Principal Specialist Sales, “Account Executive” “Enterprise Sales” I assume there is a difference? How are the sales groups segmented? What is OTE for “Named Account Manager” What can one expect for a singing bonus in the “Named Account Manager role? OTE? Is there alot of “infield fighting” or multiple reps paying over accounts? Are you paid dollar for dollar or bonus based on percent to quota? Thank you in advance
All of those are awesome senior level roles. Difference is in customer segmentation.
Account Executive - Divided into segment such as Named Account, Enterprise, Startups, Greenfield, etc. Demand Generation - Inside Sales
The difference mostly in those are the customer segment targeted. Most of those i would expect to be L6, but there are a few that go 5 or 7. A L6 should expect base 155-160, incentive comp in the120-140 range, and stock on top of that. lots of other posts that go into signing bonus/ stock grants. i am 3 years in but when i started, they gave me a sign on bonus of about 160k, paid out over 2 years, and shares for a similar amount that vested 5% yr 1, 15% yr 2, 40% yr3, 40% yr4 Most territories are set... no real fighting for accounts. you are given a quota, and are paid for performance against the quota. very similar to MSFT and others
What is the base for L7?
Some bias here but great product, clear vision and ability to execute. Engineers will listen to your customers and add functionality that you can sell.
Anyone have any insights here? I need help!
