What do you mean by 74k + 55k? Congrats on the new job
Thanks! Basically offered in two installments. Have edited the post to make it clear ;)
Level?
SDE 2
Your offer is better than levels.fyi average for SDE 2. That said, the rule of thumb is "always negotiate." If you're planning to stay around, try getting more RSUs. Aim for 110-130 units. If you're not sure you want to stay past 1st/2nd year, try getting more sign-ons. Aim for 150k-180k. I've heard base is cap at 160k for non-SF and 180k for SF. But you obviously got a bit more so try bumping that up if you want. Negotiating base is harder than sign-ons and RSU though. Edit: try to gauge your interview performance by asking the recruiter, and adjust numbers accordingly.
What’s your total tc first and second year?
247k first year 244k second year
The stock units, are they grant or options? What is the tax burden/option cost because that will come off your income/assets.
Grant
~250k TC, still some room to go to hit the top end which is ~280k. If you did well in interview ask for 280k and settle at 270k
Looks like these numbers are post negotiation.
Updated my final offer. Thanks all for the help!
Congrats! Well done
So 130k sign on? Jesus
In two year installments
