Long time lurker, first time poster. Looking for some advice on my career search. I'm a career switcher that leveraged an MBA to move from the construction/real estate industry to tech. I've been working on my own startup after the startup that I worked at post-MBA went under. Unfortunately, things are not going well here either. I've been interviewing intermittently for Program Manager, Biz Ops roles, and have have reached final rounds with a number of companies in Mobility and PropTech space, but just can't seem to convert. I feel like my "risk profile" is too high for most Bay Area Tech firms. Does anyone have any advice on how I can help address this issue for employers? TC at my last Startup in Seattle $170k
Has tech become the new finance?
My motivation came from the realization of the significant ineffiencies in these industries, and how tech can streamline so much of the existing systems. Less so for the opportunity to make $$$

Asians - what are your thoughts on asian female white male ?
What "risk" are you talking about? If you're reaching onsites then it's just a matter of time until you land an offer, unless you have no idea how to navigate social situations at all (which shouldn't be the case considering you have an MBA). Have you asked for feedback from the companies where you thought you had a good shot of making it?
Risks being: Career switcher, no experience with larger well-recognized companies, lack of direct experience in mobility, fintech, SaaS companies. I have asked, and what response I've gotten has been: lack of cross-functional experience in large org or decided to go with an internal candidate. Not bad feedback, but also not extremely helpful either.
It sounds like you're either aiming for too high of a role or your technical skills aren't up to par for the position you applied for. If you're making a complete career change you should expect to start at or a little above entry level.
