I am in the process of interviwing with Airbnb and was wondering how much I should count on the value of the stock I get. Basically, how easy is it to cash out before IPO? Apparently, AirBnb offerred to buy back employee stocks in their previous fundraising in 2016. I am pretty unfamiliar with private companies’ compensation, so, I would appreciate if people who have experience working for Airbnb or similar late-stage startups can share their insights
Can't buyback RSUs, buyback was for options, which they stopped giving back a long time ago. The stock won't be liquid until the IPO.
How many leetcode have you done?
I am a manager in Amazon, interviewing for management positions. Very glad that I got past the bullshit “let’s see if you memorized more leetcode questions than the 22-year-old from Banglore whose sole life objective and skill-set is a subset of what exists in leetcode”. I honestly can’t blame the companies though. The part of computer science(!) that makes them money is so shallow that the only way to sort candidates is to test them on the only subject that requires slighly more than elementry school knowledge.
Pass the interview first. The statistical odds are very much not in your favor.
Don’t over think, first clear the interviews, you can think about this later :)
