Same level, same TC, which one would you pick and why?
Airbnb
Robinhood is much less risky, and has huge growth potential.
Why is Robinhood less risky?
Im actually curious, does anyone know where Robinhood is planning on going from here on out? It feels like most of their product is built out now... are they going to expand into becoming a fully-fledged financial service or something?
how can Robinhood possibly match our TC?
Why not?
Airbnb isn’t the highest paying company out there.
Robinhood 100%. Airbnb had their shot to IPO and Chesky pulled out so they lost their CFO. No CFO= no IPO anytime soon. Airbnb is already a massive company so the work you’re gonna do is small slivers of a thing or iteration. If you’re an engineer know that the culture is more of a design culture than an engineering culture. Most of their top/early engineers left already. Airbnb also faces the same regulation challenges Uber and Lyft face which can flip the company upside down quickly if legislation that’s not favorable gets rolled out. Robinhood is super small, extremely hard to get into from what I understand, has a solid engineering team (quick LinkedIn search), and lots of room to grow. I read the founder said they plan to offer every financial product/service out there, if that’s half true then there’s a ton of growth left in the company. You’d be silly to miss jumping on a rocket that is soaring.
TC, YoE or GTFO mate.
I feel like Robinhood is small enough that I can be identified based on offer details. Sorry. PM me for details.
Always add or subtract few thousands in that case. Never put the actual number
