Amazon - finding team who might be willing to pay higher
Has anybody ever gone into situation where they had gone to find another team who is willing to pay higher than initial recruiting team while negotiating offer? How does that work out?
That generally doesn't happen unless you switch job roles.
I've heard some AWS teams pay higher singing bonuses for good return interns. Can anyone confirm?
Nope your salary does not change when you switch teams. Next year maybe - that depends on the team and your performance

Recruiter said different teams have different Budget, they may/can get approval for higher numbers based on need
I suppose technically a team could go out of range on your offer I'd they really want you. As far as I know that requires VP approval. This would be far out of standard and require exceptional circumstances. Personally I don't buy that a recruiter is telling you this. They'd have to be pretty bad at their job.
I was told this too, though I got what I asked for from the first team, so I didn’t look around.

Amazon TC won't change unless a: change job role or b: level up. If you start with low TC, it will never catch up with your colleagues.
Not sure how valid this is... i joined at max tc for NE, then upgraded to NDE and was told no change because im still maxed the level TC, and tho i killed it last year with multiple aws goals, i got small bump because again, I’ve maxd my TC for the level ... so you could be in a shitty situation like me ...
