Amazon Alexa teams in Bay Area?
I'm popping my head up this summer to see what's out there. Voice is an area I'm interested in. I'd appreciate anyone breaking down the various Bay area based teams working on Alexa/Echo. Would be for a Principal PM role (had offer for AWS for same early last year). I prefer SF but I assume roles are mostly in South Bay/peninsula...

For the important speech stuff (natural language understanding, speech recognition, etc.) you need to be in Seattle. There’s a small wing in Santa Barbara that does “knowledge graph” stuff, but our big knowledge graph is in the UK. There are some experimental tech with Alexa Conversations that’s happening in CA but that’s about it unless you are alright with working on skill-specific things that aren’t really speech-science related.
Thanks for the thoughtful response. Unfortunately Im tied down to SF for now. To clarify I'm interested in the space in general. Doesn't have to be speech-science related. Can be skill-specific. What skills/applicatjons are in Bay Area?
