This is the 943rd article proclaiming to "know" where HQ2 is going. Apparently it's definitely going to Raleigh, Boston, DC, Alexandria, Atlanta, and Newark. It'll be official when it's announced, settle down
Lots of places have said that "THIS city is definitely going to be the winner for HQ2!"
The problem is that Amazon hasn't announced it yet, and they're judging it on metrics that we aren't sure apply. The only one that categorically makes sense is nearby schools with good CS programs.
I'm not convinced that Amazon actually cares about the cost of housing. I'm most inclined to think that it's going to be DC or New York, as Bezos already owns homes there, so we know that he likes spending time in those places.
At the end of the day, we won't know what they decide until they decide it.
