Hi, I saw many Structural analysis engineer position posting on Amazon Prime Air in greater Seattle area. I am curious about the job, if anyone is working in that group. What does the group do?? Is amazon making a new airplane? Or just making drones? Or is it like liaison engineer, fixing up 767 freighter? Curious about compensation too.
Prime air is only drones, you’d be doing structural analysis on different types of drones, which seems to be the approach they are taking as opposed to their competitors in this space. Some are longer range than others.
PrimeAir is only doing drones. They're a separate org from Amazon Air that run the freight airliners. Compensation will be better than at Blue Origin or Boeing. Plenty of people from those companies work at PrimeAir now, though. It's a rapidly growing org right now with lots of reqs open.
Does base salary span 180k+ base for ~10 yrs exp? Would be interested if salary meets expectation.
Prime air is drones only afaik
