Starting at Amazon soon and was curious what the typical stock RSU grant is each year? TC=$180 + $38k in RSU for signing on.
Is your signing bonus vested right away or after 90 days or after 4 very long years? $38K in cash would be decent but I wouldn’t call it a “signing” bonus if it has a waiting period other than the usual 12-month clawback provision.
Usually they give you the vesting schedule for the RSUs in the offer letter. Are you sure you are starting soon or are you just trolling? Also, they don't tell you how much in RSU. The offer letter usually indicates the number of RSUs they give you (Ex: 125 RSUs).
Yeah they just told me the number of RSU’s and I start on Jan 14. Not trolling, seriously wanting to know! And my offer letter doesn’t tell me what my level is so I don’t know. Is that important for whether or not I will get more stock grants each year?
SDE1: L4 SDE2: L5 SDE3: L6 Other job family tell us the job title and we'll tell you the level. When hired they give you a number of RSU. These vest over 4 years: 5% first year 15% second year 20% every 6mo afterwards For example I was hired 3+ yrs ago as SDE2 : 140 base, 35k cash in year 1, 27.5k cash in year 2 and 260RSUs over 4 years (stock was worth $440 then)
wow you almost hit a million dollars by now
So what would be the typical stock refresh each year if I was L5 or L6?
Years of experience? Offer level?
